Well, everything "ball" related at the TurkeyShoot v5.0 was pretty much a flop..or should I say a bounce?
Dodgeball was cancelled due to a scheduling conflict and our bawls guarana distributor was out of stock and not able to ship any product. Boo!
Fortunately my parents came through and brought some promotional material that arrived the day of the party so we were able to hande out /some/ swag.
We ended up playing CTF but sady both bases were impenetrable and the game ended in a 0-0 tie. (call it CTFvbeta) Next party, we'll have finer tuned rules or hey, even dodgeball!
On the brightside, the marketing director at bawls very apologetically has promised to "REALLY hook you guys up" for the next party, so look forward to that in May when we'll be debuting "High Noon" a 12 hour lan party geared towards more competitive gamers.

APRIL LAN PARTY AHOY MATEYS.
Bawls sponsorship off port bow! That's right, no more nasty rockstar for your distinguished taste buds. Bawls gurana has agreed to sponsor our lan party and that can only mean one thing... FREE BAWLS! (not to be confused with freeballing, which is something different entirely)
This party you can expect reliable dedicated servers (go post in the ramble box and voice your opinion on what games you want to play) Actual phsyical party games (dodgeball, bawls chugging contest and musical chairs) and the return of the rofl-raffle. |

Hot new version has the following new features:
- E-Mail verification upon signup
- Secure way to reset your password
- Ability to edit a LAN Party after posting
New features upcoming:
- Invite only / selective attendance parties
- Two tier RSVP "Maybe Coming" / "Definitely coming"
- Better e-mail notification concerning LANs

As it appears there will be more then 1 or 2 LANs a year I'm going to rewrite this site in a big way. As this will be revision 3 or 4, I've got a pretty good idea of some basic functionality that this site lacks but needs.
However, what I really would like is opinions from you fellows/gal(s). If you're looking for a feature or want to throw a few ideas my way, I'd appreciate it. Fire me off an email with some ideas and I'll look into implementing them.
Here are some potential ideas I've been playing with. If these sound good to you and you'd like to see them, let me know.
Ideas:
- Player profiles
- Groups / Clans
- User managed media (photos)
- LAN specific Rambleboxes
- Easy way to update LAN info
- Award system (?)
- Tiered admin / moderator setup
Want to help?
I'd be willing to entertain offers of assistance in these areas:
- Rails development
- Interface Design (must be CSS, cross browser OK, and quality)
- Beta tester
